For ten years I worked in freight forwarding — moving other people's cargo around the world, mostly on the phone, mostly under pressure, mostly for people who just needed something handled properly and didn't want to think about it again. I got good at explaining complicated things simply, and at making promises I could actually keep.
A few years ago I taught myself to design and build websites properly. Not as a career pivot dressed up in a launch post, but because I kept noticing the same thing: established service businesses — companies with real customers and real reputations — being quietly let down by websites that made them look smaller and less capable than they actually are.
Noven exists to fix that, properly, for a fair fixed monthly fee — without the agency overhead that normally comes with "properly." No account managers, no retainer creep, no jargon. One person, doing the work, answering the emails.
Why Noven exists
Most established businesses do good, credible work — but their website no longer reflects that quality: slow, dated, built years ago and never touched since. Noven exists to fix that properly, for a fair, fixed monthly fee.
How I approach the work
Every Noven site is built the same way: real typography, real restraint, and nothing on the page that isn't earning its place. That's not a style choice — it's the same standard your own site would be held to.
