Terms
These are the terms for Noven's website design, build, hosting and maintenance service. They're written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear before you sign up, ask — hello@noven.uk.
The service
Noven designs, builds, hosts and maintains a website for your business for a fixed fee of £49.99 /month, billed monthly. This includes ongoing hosting, security updates, and reasonable small content changes as part of the monthly fee. Larger changes in scope (a full redesign, a new section of the site, e-commerce functionality) are quoted separately before any work begins.
Getting started
Before any commitment, you'll see a free mockup of what your site could look like. There's no cost and no obligation at this stage. Work on the live, built version only begins once you've agreed to go ahead.
Payment
The monthly fee is billed in advance from the date your site goes live. There is no large upfront design or build fee. Payment is due on the same date each month; if a payment fails, you'll be given reasonable notice to resolve it before the site is affected.
Ownership
Your domain name and everything you provide or that's specific to your business — your words, photos, logo and branding — belong to you. While your subscription is active, Noven designs, builds, hosts and maintains the site as part of the service described above.
Cancelling
There is no long minimum term. You can cancel at any time by emailing hello@noven.uk with 30 days' notice.
If you cancel, your website will remain live until the end of your paid notice period. After that, hosting, maintenance, support, updates and access to the Noven-managed website service will end.
You will always retain ownership of your own business content, including your text, images, logo, brand assets and domain name.
The website design, build, codebase, templates, components and technical setup remain part of Noven's managed service and are not provided as a working export on cancellation.
If you would like to move the completed website to another provider, we may offer a website release/export for a separate one-off transfer fee, agreed in writing before transfer.
What's expected of you
You're responsible for making sure the content you provide (text, images, claims about your business) is accurate and that you have the right to use it. Noven will flag anything that looks like a legal problem (for example, using someone else's photography without a licence) before it goes live.
Liability
Noven will take reasonable care to keep your site online, secure and working as intended. As with any hosted service, occasional downtime for maintenance or issues outside reasonable control can happen; Noven's liability for any loss arising from the service is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the issue arose, except where liability cannot legally be limited (such as for death, personal injury, or fraud).
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that materially affects existing customers, you'll be given reasonable notice by email before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
